Experience

Kearns is a respected editor in both the general-media and outdoor industries. Since he’s been with Field & Stream, the brand has been nominated for more than 10 National Magazine Awards, winning twice for General Excellence—the highest honor in magazine journalism. He’s spoken on panels for the American Society of Magazine Editors and made appearances on The Weather Channel, NPR, Fox and Friends, and other outlets.

Kearns oversees all editorial across all Field & Stream content channels—but his favorite part of the job is writing and editing adventure stories about hunting and fishing.
